Acceleration Program - Accepting Applications Now!

Are you looking for an accelerated program for your child?
Interlachen Elementary offers a class in each grade level that is academically rigorous. In 1st -5th grades it is called the Cambridge program. The kindergarten class is called advanced kindergarten. If you are interested in your child being screened for the advanced kindergarten class a district application is not necessary, but the principal would like the following information: your child’s name, address, and phone information. Cambridge applications for 1st-5th grade are available at the front desk. Each year students are added to the Cambridge classes if they qualify academically and the enrollment numbers are not excessive.
If your child is currently in the 1st-4th grade Cambridge program an application is not necessary. Students new to the program, advanced kindergarteners going to first, and all fifth graders must apply for next year on a district application form. The applications must be sent to a district address by February 21st. The address is at the bottom of the application.
Students who apply and are accepted are expected to maintain good attendance, behavior, and high academic achievement.

The Acceleration Program is now accepting its first round of applications for the 2018-2019 school year.  First round acceleration applications deadline is February 21st.
